Here it comes! The 9th state of India we are extremely pleased to offer teas from! We were looking to offer teas from the region from a long time and have been able to source some finally. The region mostly grows Darjeeling cultivars like the very popular AV2 but the terroir crafts them to be something very different!

The dry leaf aroma is fruity and smells more like tutti frutti than actual fruits. When placed on wet teaware, like all the AV2 cultivar blacks, the initial aroma is of cream and milk chocolate. It transforms into ripe fruits like jujube and pear and finally ends with an orange marmalade aroma. The liquor starts with a jaggery like sweetness, milky in texture. As you sip more, the fruit notes of jujube, pear and oranges translate well into the liquor. As it further cools down, you notice floral notes of marigold and lavender. The orange and orange maramalade note make it feel close to malty black teas but just at the finish, there is no malt note but rather a milky sweetness, present throughout the sips!
