introducing the 2026 Nilgiri Highland Green. This is the tea which started our Nilgiri exploration journey back in 2020. This has been the consistent best Nilgiri green tea since 2020, the latest batch is no different. Fresh, sweet and savoury, this one checks all the boxes it has made for itself!
The dry leaf smells floral with a hint of mango, when placed on the heated teaware, you can notice a milky sweetness first, followed with a fruity and grassy note. On your first sip, you notice the buttery sweetness along with a touch of honey. You can enjoy a savoury character in this tea, more when you brew it gong fu style, along with a note of butter, blending perfectly with every other kind of deliciousness on offer. On further sips, you can taste strawberries. There is an armenian cucumber note too, making the liquor extremely refreshing. As you sip further, you can experience more fruity notes of green grapes. There is a hint of floral notes too, particularly yellow flowers but it is hard to pinpoint. The creamy and butter note make the liquor feel even silkier, making for a beautiful sipping experience. We are sure you will enjoy this green tea a lot, whichever way you brew it!
