One of the rarest teas from India, always available in limited quantity, has been successfully acquired by us and we are extremely excited to offer this on our tea shop. Assam is known more for its second flush, which is very delicious in its own right, full of malty and dark sweet notes. But this is a delight which must be savoured and appreciated at least once in your tea drinking journey! Handcrafted by the mindful and skilled artisans at Latumoni village, this is completely free of agrochemicals and full of handcrafted love! This year's batch is way tinier than 2025 with just 1 kg with us, but we wished to offer whatever quantity we could get our hands on so here we are!
This is one of those teas which redefines some stereotypes. This is an Assam tea, which is impossible to brew bitter!
The dry leaf smells sweet, with notes of caramel and fennel. When placed on the heated ware, the creamy aroma makes its way. On your first sip, you can taste caramel, honey and a woody finish. On further sips, you can taste a bit of hazelnut along with a creamy sweet note, like a vanilla dessert. If you gong fu brew this, you can taste notes of oranges and rose too. Once again its a very hard to describe tea and the most interesting ones to come from Assam. We are sure you will enjoy brewing this delightful tea.
