Another banger from Nilgiri is here, after a wait of three years, we have a fresh and delicious batch of the Needle Green. This one is for sure the best batch we have had in years, surpassing the memory of a wonderful batch from 2020 we could not buy! This one is also made from their in-house GW1 cultivar, just like the Nilgiri Highland Green.
The first sip greets you with candy like sweetness, resembling palm candy and a touch of honey. As you sip more, you can experience the creamy sweetness on offer. There are hints of fruits too, mostly mangoes and green grapes. The grassy part is subdued this time, with just a freshness to offer, we love that in this tea. The aftertaste is impeccable with notes of guavas and apricots. This year, we have been loving the honey and nectar like sweetness most of the Nilgiri green teas have to offer, this one just excels in it.
