Presenting our second batch of Arunachal Handrolled Oolong, the tea which started our Arunachal Tea journey, this time from the start of second flush. The estate prouds itself on keeping the plucking standards consistent while working in tandem with nature. In order to replicate a beautiful batch from the past, they figure out ways to keep the minute details constant, for example they get the teas plucked by the same set of people, choose a day which resembles the previous processing day the most and the results speak for itself!
The dry leaf has a mildly sweet aroma, resembling sugar candies. When placed on the heated ware, the sugary sweetness transforms into notes of lemon, cream and biscuits. The liquor is very similar to the previous batch, dominant in lemongrass notes. It derives its complexity from the fruity notes in the background. You can taste notes of fresh yellow dates and custard apple when the liquor cools down. The custard apple is even more prominent in aftertaste and lasts very long. Our favourite yellow flower, the yellow oleander makes an appearance here too, adding to the fruity sweetness. A refreshing and gentle cup of tea, this one is for sure going to brighten your day!
