Nilgiri Platinum Needles from 2022-2023 Winter harvest, plucked in late January this time. One of the most exquisite teas from the Nilgiris, this year we waited for a bigger batch and have enough to last through the next harvest at least! Plucked on early mornings in peak winters, the young unopened buds reflect the morning time in Nilgiris in its truest sense!

The dry leaf has sweet fruity notes with a cool herbal note on the finish, similar to wintergreens and eucalyptus. When placed on heated teaware, the aroma starts with being like ripe bananas then transforms into other fruity notes like apples and apricots. The infusion has notes of banana and apricot as well. Further down your sips, you notice notes of guava and Indian jujube. The fruity notes seem to be never ending and offer a complexity we've not experienced in any silver/platinum needle style tea. You get notes of green grapes and cantaloupes when it cools down a little more. There is a vanilla like note to be savoured in this tea, resembling vanilla wafers the most. On the finish, you can also notice a mild herbal note similar to eucalyptus forest, reminding you of the cool and fresh Nilgiri mountain air! It brings us immense joy to be sourcing this beautiful tea for you and we hope you enjoy it as much as us!
