Spring is here, so are cold brews!

Living in a tropical country, spring season means welcoming the summer through cold beverages while still enjoying the pleasant weather. We have been enjoying cold brews of our teas for a while now and here are our picks!

Nilgiri Highland Green

Absolutely delicious when cold brewed, this tea is at its delicate best when brewed cold. The white flower notes come to life along with a cucumber note on the finish.

We recommend using 4-5 grams per 500 ml and brewing it in the fridge for 5 hours.

Orthodox Smoked Black Tea

This tea apart from being delicious by itself when brewed cold, also very easily compliments more complex recipes like cocktails, mocktails and fruit infused beverages. We recommend a few recipes for this:

  1. Add 3 tablespoons diced mango fruit preferably ripe but still firm(though you could also use raw mangoes if you like their taste but make sure its not an extremely sour one!) and 5 grams tea for 500 ml water and infuse it for 6 hours. Add a teaspoon of honey as a sweetener if you prefer!

  2. Add 2 tablespoon of ripe strawberries, you can use under ripe ones if you prefer your strawberries like that and use 4 grams of tea for 500 ml water and infuse for 5 hours.

  3. Use 4 grams per 500 ml if you are brewing it plain and brew it for 5 hours.
