A very special release, shaped carefully into beautiful 8 gram pearls. This form was our first take on sheng style teas, we have improved upon it and present a dragon pearl, which has evolved from its experimental take into a carefully created pearl, with zero leaf breakage. This is from Spring 2020 harvest and was stored in Manipur for the last two years.

The dry leaves have a dominant woody smell with a sweet background, after the rinse, which we strongly recommend since that would help open up the leaves, they come to life with notes of agarwood and dried apricots. The first infusion has a honey sweetness with a woody background, there is a note of Indian gooseberry on the finish. The second infusion carries this profile along with a very long finish of Indian raw jujube. The third steep is slightly minty with notes of camphor, the wood part is still present and the sweetness is like caramel. The fourth infusion has notes of golden raisins, the caramel note intensifies and adds to the sweetness. The fifth infusion has a fruity character, with notes of Indian jujube and green peach. The caramel like not adds to the sweetness along with red berries and stonefruit notes and make for a comforting cup till it lasts, which is almost forever!
