Presenting our first Oolong Tea from the beautiful Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh! An extremely small batch of just 1.6 kgs, we are fortunate enough to have managed to grab all of it. The estate prouds itself on keeping the plucking standards consistent while working in tandem with nature. In order to replicate a beautiful batch from the past, they figure out ways to keep the minute details constant, for example they get the teas plucked by the same set of people, choose a day which resembles the previous processing day the most and the results speak for itself!

The dry leaf smells fruity and floral and has notes of yellow flowers, sweet lime and lemon candy. When placed on the heated ware, the floral notes come to life along with a subtle lemongrass note. The liquor aroma is sweet with a nectar like floral sweetness oozing out of it. The aroma translates perfectly well into the liquor with the first sip greeting you with the brilliant white and yellow flower notes along with the sweet lemon candy note. After the initial few sips, you can taste sugarcane notes in the liquor, adding to the sweetness. The tea continues to unravel further with an interesting note of custard apple greeting you as the liquor cools down. The aftertaste is long and dominant in custard apple notes. This tea works great for multiple infusions even while brewing it western style! And when you do a gongfu style brew, the consistency shines even further, with upto 8 infusions at not so high ratios like 3-4 gram per 100ml. We definitely recommend doing multiple brews to explore all this tea has to offer! Even at this risk of sounding repetitive, we would again like to thank the countless hours spent by the artisans at the estate for bring us this delicious batch of tea.
