Our Assam Orthodox Gold is made in Kathaldanga, Assam which is very close to the banks of Brahmaputra river. Handcrafted by local artisans in a collaboration with The Tea Leaf Theory, the results are spectacular.
The dry leaf aroma is dark and woody. When sprinkled on a heated teaware, the woody notes shine even more and resemble oakwood. The sip starts with malt and honey notes which develop into notes of cocoa and palm jaggery. The milky notes interract with the sweet notes making this tea resemble a lot of traditional Indian desserts cooked with palm jaggery.
The liquor is sweet and comforting with a silky mouthfeel. Clean and smooth, you wont notice the cup going from full to empty!
