2019 Autumn Wild Gushu Maocha
This is the same maocha which goes into our lineup of shengs from Autumn 2019. Its a robust autumnal maocha which packs the right balance of sweetness and astringency. The cup starts with the astringent notes on the front with minimal sweetness. It is only around infusion 3 & 4 that we can taste the honey and flowery notes. Around infusions 4 & 5, the woody notes make the tea very relaxing to drink. The honey sweetness keeps on building up until infusion 6 and then mellows down. After that, the woody notes turn more into sandalwood notes and adds its share of minty sweetness which you can enjoy for 2-3 steeps.
