Introducing 2019 Autumn Gushu Sheng Wafer


Taste the post monsoon Indian wild forest in this beautiful sheng made from super fine maocha. This maocha was specially handmade by our producer from Autumn Flush leaves and then steamed and pressed in a wooden press. 


The golden buds infuse a velvety mouthfeel to the liquor. The taste notes are also unlike any of the teas we offer. The wet leaf has aroma of berries, particularly cranberry. The first few infusions have the notes of lavender, walnut, pinewood and has a wildforest woody character with some hints of agar-wood. The mild walnut taste comes with a thick liquor which coats your mouth and throat. The agar wood reminds you of pure incense with a smoky purifying effect it is known for. All of these notes come together to make this a perfect symphony of flavours. The cha qi will heighten your senses making you feel it flowing throughout your body working its magic into you.
